Dr. Karin Dietachmayr is a corporate innovation leader and systems thinker reimagining the role of utilities in driving ecological and societal transformation. As Head of Innovation at Energie AG Oberösterreich and Managing Director of Wertstatt 8, she leads initiatives that connect future-fit technologies with real-world impact—spanning digital twins, renewable infrastructure, and new business models for the climate transition.

Over the past 25 years, Karin has built a reputation for turning complexity into momentum. Starting in treasury and strategy at Energie AG, she went on to shape group-wide transformation processes, before building out the company’s innovation system from the ground up. Today, she coordinates startup partnerships, venture clienting programs, and innovation challenges, while also managing early-stage investments and innovation ecosystems.

Karin is a sought-after moderator, speaker, and facilitator who bridges business, science, and creative collaboration. Her approach is grounded in action: co-creating spaces that inspire participation, piloting new technologies, and nurturing cultures that enable bold ideas to grow.
